The Commemoration of Yalda Night at the Student Dormitory of the Faculty of International Relations Dated: December 21 2025
On Sunday, December 21, 2025, a ceremony commemorating the ancient tradition of Yalda Night was held at the student dormitory of the School of International Relations, with the presence of the esteemed Dean of the School, vice deans, respected faculty members, and a group of students. During this cultural event, Dr.Dehshiri referred to the special place of Yalda Night in Iranian culture and civilization, explained some of the
historical dimensions of this ancient tradition, and emphasized its role in fostering hope, dynamism, and especially the growth and flourishing of the younger generation. Subsequently, the respected vice deans and faculty members each shared their perspectives and remarks on the historical, cultural, and social significance of Yalda Night in shaping Iranian identity. In addition, students contributed to the program by performing cultural activities, including poetry recitations from the works of prominent Iranian poets, particularly the poems of Hafez Shirazi, which created a warm, intimate, and spiritual atmosphere throughout the event. The ceremony concluded in a cheerful and lively environment with a group photo.
