Participation of the School of International Relations in the International Women’s Leadership Program for the Future in Ankara

Organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the international program ALLY for Future 2026 was held in Ankara, Türkiye, from 21 to 26 June 2026. The program aimed to empower young women from
across the Islamic world, enhance strategic thinking, and promote “values-based leadership.” The event focused on ethical, political, and humanitarian responsibilities in addressing contemporary challenges and
managing the crises confronting the Islamic world. Representatives from various countries participated in this program. Ms. Raheleh Tusi attended the event as the representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran, nominated by the School of International Relations and took part in the panels and diplomatic exchanges.
The program comprised several key components and high-level diplomatic engagements, including a meeting with H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye. It also included an official visit to the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and specialized meetings with the Speaker of Parliament and the Chair of the Equal Opportunities Commission for Women and Men (KEFEK). Among the major activities was the specialized panel, Leadership in Times of Crisis: The Gaza Model, which examined cases of human rights violations and analyzed the humanitarian responsibilities of international actors. In addition, an interactive practical workshop was organized on professional conduct, diplomatic prestige, principles of protocol and etiquette, and the preservation of personal integrity within leadership structures.
The program also featured a session on Artificial Intelligence and Technology: An Analysis of the Twin Transition, focusing on digital and green transformation and the ways in which the balance of power among
technology, the economy, and the environment is being redefined. Furthermore, a Search Conference was held as a participatory interactive workshop to examine the risks and opportunities associated with artificial
intelligence and to outline the role of collective leadership in responding to these transformations. Other activities included a panel on Social Structure and the Future of the Family, which explored innovative
approaches to international population policies and identified ways to increase the effective participation of women within the framework of international interactions and cooperation. The program concluded with a
roundtable discussion attended by H.E. Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Family and Social Services of Türkiye, during which the participating delegates, including the representative of Iran, delivered brief remarks on a shared vision of leadership. The participation of the School’s student in this program provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen diplomatic ties, showcase the country’s scientific and research capacities, and establish networking connections among the elites and emerging leaders of the Islamicworld.
