The Cultural Tuesday Program featuring a lecture by Dr.Khatibzadeh Head of the IPIS entitled“The Importance and Role of Research in International Relations” held on the occasion of Research Day along with the presentation of a report on the December 1404 study trip of students from the School of International .Relations to Japan

On Tuesday, 2025/12/16, on the occasion of Research Day, Dr. Khatibzadeh, Head of the Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended a gathering of students from the School of International Relations and delivered a lecture on the importance and role of research in the field of international relations. He described a “problem-solving mindset” as the foundation and cornerstone of research and referring to the approaches adopted by certain countries in this area, encouraged students to identify problems and pursue their resolution in a purposeful manner. Dr.Khatibzadeh also referred to prominent Iranian–Islamic thinkers such as Allameh Tabataba’i, emphasizing the importance of having sound justification (hujjat) in all aspects of life and stated that for every individual, attaining such justification is achieved through research. In the continuation of the session, he responded to questions raised by the students.

In another part of the meeting, the delegation of students from the School of International Relations who had traveled to Japan, led by Dr.Sadat Meydani, a respected member of the faculty, presented a report and shared
their experiences as well as the academic and intellectual achievements gained from the trip. Dr. Sadat Meydani also elaborated on various dimensions of this academic visit for the audience.
