Cultural Tuesday dated 9/12/2025 featuring a lecture by Dr. Mohsen Souhani on the topic “Public Diplomacy and Soft Power: A Reflection on the Emerging Phenomenon of the Ambassador–Influencer

Within the framework of the “Cultural Tuesdays” lecture series of the School of International Relations, a lecture by Dr. Mohsen Souhani entitled “Public Diplomacy and Soft Power: The Ambassador–Influencer Phenomenon” was held on Tuesday, 18 Azar 1404.
In this session, Dr. Souhani explained media transformations and the role of cyberspace, emphasizing the expansion of the arenas of public diplomacy and the use of new communication tools by countries. He also examined the phenomenon of the “ambassador–influencer” and its role in advancing the objectives of public diplomacy. Subsequently, Dr. Amirhossein Nikbin, the esteemed Vice Dean for Student and Cultural Affairs of the School, referred to cultural capacities of Iran and emphasized the importance of paying attention to soft power instruments in public diplomacy. The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment with students.
